Good Morning all... Thankfully it's not 100 today. Only supposed to be 91 ha

Summer is here. Getting ready for the beach in a few weeks (yay sand and ocean) and all is well here.

Just a heads up.. amazon.de apparently shipped copies of A Dance With Dragons early so be careful if you are waiting for the next novel to come out and you don't want spoilers. This is will be a spoiler free journal until I read the book in mid to late July.
Ok here we go...

So where have I been? No where really just been posting to communities and not really using the main blog much. I did set up a tumblr which is lots of fun and I love reading it. But since I've been reading more communities than just ontd here lately (especially since getting into A Song of Ice and Fire so much) I figured I really should post a little more than I have. I just haven't been into a fandom enough to really post since The Dark Knight came out a few years back.

Plus I am doing some icons and wallpapers and this is a good place to post them for easy linkage. Thanks to those of you who kept me on your lists and still follow me :) If you have a tumblr mine is here feel free to add me:

Who's doing what? New fandoms? New interests :)

I guess I need to create a mood theme again too... hmm Game of Thrones, Stargate or The Tudors?
Sean the Sheepish: He's had four wives, plays gritty action heroes and used to be a welder. So why do sex scenes make Sean Bean blush?

By CHRIS SULLIVAN

Sean Bean is barely recognisable. His slicked-back hair is cut short, and he wears a World War II British Army officer’s field uniform. I feel as if I’ve been whisked back in a time machine to 1943.
We are on the set of Bean’s latest action film, Age Of Heroes, a true story of 30 Assault Unit, a commando team formed by Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond, and their mission to blow up a Nazi radar tower in occupied Norway.

Bean plays Jack ‘Davey’ Jones, the hard-nosed officer who takes his boys out on their near-suicidal mission.

Photobucket
On target: Sean Bean in Age of Heroes

‘It’s a proper Boy’s Own yarn,’ he says with uncharacteristic emotion. Like Jones, he is the strong and silent type.

‘These guys went out and risked death and torture for our country. They were real heroes.’

More Sean this way... )

Because there can never be enough Sean Bean.

I really need to update this more, but honestly who wants to hear about work and winter?

I am so ready for spring.

Overall things are good, can't complain. :)
I should probably post them at some point, I have a whole folder here. Top that off I have some wallpapers and such from ST and LoTS. Lots of Christmas ones too to upload, need more hours in the day.

hm

*points to icon* Screen grab I took of the new ep. Who all watched LoTS this past weekend? Richard is a sexy beast.

Also finally got to see Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. I couldn't stop watching it, it was really very good. Needed more Lucius, but besides that it was a good movie.

Of course everyone I know is going nuts for New Moon now...

I am waiting on Star Trek to be released on DVD soon.

Nothing much else going on, work is nuts... family came for a visit last weekend. Fun times :) Hope you all are well and getting ready for Christmas!
I think everyone can tell I am mainly posting in communities, and I always forget to update this part... oopps.

Things are well with me, started to decorate for Halloween last night. Listening to my jazz music and relaxing today. I love the fall, my favorite time of year. :)

Hope all is well with everyone :)

You know, I've had a LJ account for several years... and didn't re new my paid account for about a week, and let me tell you those freaking 'snap' pop outs are annoying as hell.

And the only way to get rid of them, even on a paid community, is if you have a paid account. That's the most asinine thing I have ever seen. That's what basic was supposed to be. No ads! No pop ups.

Well at least I have 2 months of paid time again..

I just saw the new Star Trek movie. Totally blown away, they did a wonderful job rebooting it!

Kirk and McCoy are so adorable. *pets them*

So I take it summer is now here? I still haven't seen any other movies so far this year, I am way behind... I wanted to see Underworld too but it's already out of DVD. Night in a Museum is coming soon too, plus Transformers 2. Will try to see them.

But if you haven't yet, try to see the new Star Trek movie, it's amazing.

I am currently getting set up on here, now I feel better. I have a way to keep in touch with friends who move over here! Thanks to [personal profile] dragon for the invite code!
Anyone have a dreamwidth invite code I can use?

Anyone moving there? Who's staying here? Going to be on both places?
Well I certainly haven't posted in a few weeks... not much going on actually.

Grandmom is in assisted living now. She's hanging in there, but she's really depressed :(

I am dating a wonderful man, who I like alot :)

Life's good overall I just wish spring would get here, I want to plant in my garden.

How are you all?

Happier news:

I have secured a copy of The Dark Knight and therefore have The Joker and Harvey at my beck and call. ha.

I bought the 2 Disc special edition, I'll get the Blu Ray edition later on. How many of you have picked it up? Had a chance to watch it yet?

I had to clean up my flist a bit.

3 more weeks until Christmas!! :D All the trees are up, house is decorated.

Family arrives in two weeks, yay!

I am hooked on two new shows, one is Merlin. Good show, strays from the source material but it's an interesting take.

The other is Legend of The Seeker. I love that show so far.

4 more days until The Dark Knight is released. WOOT! I am still trying to decide whether to get the 2 disc DVD set or the Blu Ray.

I may get the two disc DVD set first. I've been quietly bouncing waiting for this for a few weeks now.

Christmas shopping is done, you all set for the holidays?
